It's interesting how MSFT is portrayed by shareholders on this thread as being representative of "John Galt" when in point of fact many of MSFT's own employees are collectivists of the liberal-left stripe (the politically correct).

This is one reason why MSFT was internally criticized for a game such as Close Combat, and probably why they never cared much about the quality of the product's realism, and further why they eventually dropped the product line.

In light of the protests which went up in the Micronews over the Close Combat non-issue... One time I was interviewing for a job in the MSFT gaming division, and had to keep from laughing out loud when the interviewer told me they were working on a "Doom Killer." I knew that such a MSFT product was an impossibility because of the whimpy, politically correct (we deny the existence of death... protect the children!) attitudes of some of the most vocal employees there.

To be fair, the majority of MSFT employees are probably libertarian, but the left-liberal crowd is the most vocal, at least internally.

The funniest thing is to see a parking lot full of shiny new SUVs with little spotted owls on their antennaes... none of the SUVs have any mud from 4-wheeling... the drivers of these vehicles are interested in "Safety" more than anything else.

John Galt my a**.

At least when I lived in Las Vegas the SUVs had mud on their fenders...

FWIW
