Advanced Micro Devices Says 1st Quarter Sales Will Exceed $1 Billion
TOKYO -(Dow Jones)- Advanced Micro Devices Inc.'s (AMD) Chairman and Chief
Executive W.J. Sanders III said he expects the company to report sales in excess
of $1 billion for the first quarter ended April 2.
In a press release Wednesday morning, Sanders, who was speaking at a news
conference in Tokyo, said that based on strong sales growth from all product
groups, he expected the company to report revenue growth in the range of 10%
over the immediate-prior quarter to more than $1.06 billion.
Advanced Micro reported sales of $968.7 million and earnings of $65.1 million,
or 43 cents a diluted share, for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 1999.
The company plans to report first quarter results on April 12.- - 03 20 AM EDT
