Voltaire, From the UK lurker section of this Porch, I hear on BBC news that the London stock market has finally been able to open. "Due to a computer problem", the market was closed this morning-obviously a major event here. Today is similar to April 15 in USA for tax returns. There is talk of keeping the market open later tonight to make up for the loss of trading time. Interesting to see what impact this has for USA tomorrow. Obviously, it also is interesting to wonder why the problem occurs day after US market volatility. Worth sucking on a straw and musing .... Thanks for the terrific insight and occasional sanity checks provided here from you and so many others! mitzi
