Selling naked puts is a good idea if you want to own the stock at a lower level, but it has very limited upside potential. I think buying the stock and a put for protection is better 1) unlimited upside potential, the stock can take off and you participate on the up move. 2) limited downside risk, your risk is known and no matter how low the stock goes, you are protected. Of course, the drawback is you have to put up more money up front. Like to hear your opinion !!!!
