I, like many, thought that MSFT's strategy was to delay proceedings until after November in hopes of them receiving the same treatment IBM got from Reagan's Justice Dept.

I was surprised that MSFT agreed to expedited hearings. -- but, if they're in that big of a hurry to reach the DC Cirtcuit Court of Appeals, they must be very confident that they will prevail. Given some of the curious findings of TPJ, I'm not sure that confidence is misplaced. Their strategy now appears to be predicated on not wanting to wait on an uncertain political outcome and get past the disruption faster.

TPJ's strategy, on the other hand, appears to be predicated on nuking Redmond as fast as possible to ensure damage that can't be repaired by an election...

My $.02....
