Those of you who held Bre-X in your portfolio's, you can go home now.

The Bre-X thread will start to break down over time as the anger and frustration die down.

Now I can answer the questions I asked to start this thread.

My conclusion: David Walsh and his Geologists knew it all along. Having gone thru bankruptcy once, he was not about to go thru it again. Hence, his scheme to come up with the greatest gold find of all times....and why not ?...people all over the world were caught up in the stock market euphoria...nothing was going to stop the bull run...nothing. Bre-X timed it right. David Walsh timed it right.
The individual investor did not.

So comes the end of the story that enlightend the greed of so many around the world. If there is one party that deserves the lesson, it is the Indonesian government....not to mention Barrick gold and Freeport that hiked a ride on the back of a corrupt goverment. Not to mention Brian Malroney and George Bush who used their political ties to earn themselves a handsome reward.

Lets all sit back and think why this had to be....or we could continue on with our lives, pretend nothing has happened and blame this whole fiasco on one element of human nature that is inherent in all...GREED.

Until the next Bre-X, I hope everyone the best of luck in the future. Keep your chins up and forget the past.

Adihose !!
