this is a classic arb situation: buy on one exchange and sell on another -I have'nt done this yet myself
-the fact that the shares are exchangeable makes it even easier.
-might be tricky following two share prices though
-it does seem like cgx.u closing deviated from cit on 3/30 and 3/31 by 7-8%
-probably does'nt happen often, one would require time an patience to pull it off

I'm keeping an eye on t:tv (ctv inc, offer @ $38.50) for any worthwhile buy opportunity that may arise after the tender deadline (4/5/00) and upto its delisting.

here's a takeover (announced today) to keep an eye on for the next couple of months:
t:ulp (ulster petroleum)
-offer is in cash (my favorite kind)
-ulster has responded that the offer is hostile
-at the very least, worth watching to see if things stabilize and risk diminishes
