Online brokers could lose out in a prolonged market downturn if nervous investors close trading accounts and stop buying shares, analysts said. Trading is an addiction. Junkies don't quit after an overdose and traders won't quit after a margin call. Nobody is going to be closing accounts - they will max out their credit card and fund their account that way if they have to. These analysts don't know what they are talking about, IMHO.
