Anyone pay attention to the VIX? I am reading over on the 'clown' thread that Luc is excited about a high VIX. However, for as long as I have been in the market, a high VIX (especially one above 30) has always retreated, and ushered in a market rally. If the markets 'fear' level is so high, wouldn't that be a contrarian indicator?

I know I am asking a lot of questions with a hint of desperation. The reason is, I'm sitting on some (currently) ITM options that expire in April, and don't really feel like watching them disintegrate due to a Naz meltdown.
