G&K Members... In search of a kinder, gentler Gorilla SanDisk and CompactFlash Let's recall that SanDisk risked their future by betting on the CompactFlash standard. By developing the standard and creating an IP in the process they stand to gain some recognition for this. Their expectation that they will receive a royalty stream from the manufacture of CF should not be surprising. Litigation is the last thing that they wish to become embroiled in and it burns me up that they took all the risk in getting the CF standard in place (with many smaller companies on their coattails) and now nobody wants to recognize this effort and sacrifice.
