NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--RSL Communications Ltd. (RSLC) signed a definitive
agreement to acquire Voyager, a U.K. Internet provider and networking
specialist.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

In a press release Thursday, RSL, a Hamilton, Bermuda, facilities-based
communications company, said data will account for about 25% of its fixed-line
revenue as a result of the acquisition.

RSL said the acquisition, subject to closing conditions, would allow it to
offer corporate U.K. customers one-stop global communications services.

The company, which last month bought Rednet, a U.K. Internet
business-to-business company, said it plans to make additional Internet
acquisitions later this year.

RSL posted losses after items of $358.2 million, or $6.63 a share, for all of
1999. Revenue was $1.47 billion.

RSL's stock was recently trading at 22 1/2, up 1 3/4, or 8.4%, on Nasdaq
volume of 58,900 shares. Average daily volume is 1.2 million shares.
