Russell Simmons' 360HIPHOP.com And Brilliant Digital Team to Develop Hip-Hop Content for the Web

Companies Will Form First-Ever Hip-Hop Internet Content Studio
Brilliant Digital Entertainment, Inc. (AMEX: BDE) and 360HIPHOP.com, the Hip-Hop
Internet destination site founded by Russell Simmons, announced today that they
have entered into an agreement to establish a joint venture studio for the
creation of Internet content. Together the companies will produce and distribute
full screen Hip-Hop content for deployment on the Web, utilizing a 5-year Alpha
level license to Brilliant Digital's production tools, as well as Brilliant's
B3D Internet format. The alliance marks the creation, from the ground up, of the
first studio dedicated solely to producing 3-D and 2-D Hip-Hop content for
Internet and broadband distribution. The production studio will be based in Los
Angeles and headed by Stan Lathan, a long-time associate of Mr. Simmons and an
investor in, and an advisor to, 360HIPHOP.com.
Brilliant and 360HIPHOP.com will provide initial start-up and production
financing to the joint venture. Future funding will be sought from outside
strategic and financial investors to fund production, to expand the studio
facility, for content licensing and for Alpha license payments for the B3D tool
set. 360HIPHOP.com will work actively to include top talent in the joint
venture's productions. Content produced by the joint venture will be available
at 360HIPHOP.com and syndicated to affiliate Web sites pursuant to revenue
sharing based on advertising, pay-per-view and e-commerce.
