Datamarine International Inc. Receives $400,000 Order for 220 MHz Base Station Equipment MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash., April 4 /PRNewswire/ -- David Thompson, President, Datamarine International Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DMAR - news) announced today that its SEA Inc. subsidiary had received an order for 15 multi-channel base stations from SOPHIA Communications Inc. This unique base station was jointly developed by SEA and SOPHIA to be an integral part of the SOPHIA wireless network. The stations as well as the SOPHIA network are specifically designed to efficiently address a wide range of wireless data services including AMR, Telemetry, Fleet Management, Service Dispatch and a myriad of others.
SOPHIA (www.sophiacomm.com) owns nationwide 220 MHz spectrum in both the United States and Mexico. After successfully completing beta tests in Chicago, SOPHIA is working to complete commercial build-out of the Chicago area by mid-summer, 2000.
