An excellent new coverage map is available at Globalstar Northern Europe

globalstar.fi

Dated March 15 and designated "Revision 4" it is by far the best formatted of any G* coverage map published to date. It shows, country by country, GW by GW, areas "in service" by "April 2000," June 30 and December 31, 2000.

Most interesting points:

Shows Peru GW in service this month. Columbia GW by June 30. 2nd and 3rd Brazil GWs, and Puerto Rico/Caribbean GW by end of year. Shows Moscow and Novisibersk GWs in service this month; Khabarovsk (E. Russia) by June 30. Shows Saudi Arabia GW in service by June 30; Turkey and another Gulf States GW by end of year. Shows Beijing GW in service this month; other two China GWs by end of year. Shows Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe in Service this month from S. Africa GW; S. Africa itself, and Mozambique in service by June 30.

Shows all of Atlantic from Bermuda north to be covered, but only by end of year. Total GWs by end of year 30. Major uncovered areas by then will still include most of Africa and Asia, other than China, South Korea and Russian Siberia, as well as Alaska and New Zealand.
