sorry LurqMan, didnt see part you cited
sounded like you were pointing a finger that the Porchsters were an incestuous lot
while many of us men view our sisters with a lustful eye, we dont act on such urges (yet)

Kenyon, the VIX is one of the most timetested accurate contraindicators I have ever seen
at last weekend VIX was at a very high 28, bullish as hell
if VIX rose to 50's, even more failed puts will be covered
we are setting up a nice tech rally going into mid/late April

DaiseyChain, margin call selling at 3pm might have been part of yday
I tend to think broker phoning takes place all day
I have lived thru about 25 of them
those bastards pressure investors to act immediately
they even deny that we have 3 days
my guess is a lot more selling happened at open than close

PersonalNote, in 1996 my Staples lost a fine fine CFO named John Wilson
he went to the Gap and turned it up nicely since then
he resigned today from COO at Gap, amidst 11% lost growth
in 1998 my Staples lost its COO named Marty Hanuka
Hanuka was essentially fired for improper sexual conduct
he went to Sports Authority and helped turn it down nicely

we used to joke: buy Wilson, short Hanuka
now good old portly Wilson is on the outs, too bad
