Re: "US' ADVANCED MICRO JAPAN JT VENTURE MAY BUILD CHIP PLANT
TOKYO - Advanced Micro Devices Inc has set its sights on a 39% increase in sales
of microprocessors for personal computers to 25 million units in 2000, Chairman
and CEO WJ Sanders says.

The US microchip maker is also considering construction of a new plant for flash memories at its Japanese joint venture with Fujitsu Ltd (TSE:6702) to meet demand from mobile phone manufacturers, Sanders said."

Comment: AMD is entering a stage of geometric revenue growth in 2 very strong sectors: microprocessors and flash memory...As a world leader in both these fields, current margins should hold if not improve for the foreseeable future during this growth phase...At $72, AMD offers outstanding prospects for above average price appreciation throughout Y2000!
