"IBM stock drop in 1987 was because of Microsoft" I really don't remember the cause of the IBM fall, but I remember a friend of mine being caught in it from 175 and sold when it broke below 100. I learned from his misfortune, sell any stock that is causing you problems. You can always buy back in when things are looking better. I will sell any loser at any time, after all, I buy stocks to go up, not down and one must sell to take profit or cut losses. JH
