<<< a lot of good news coming out of the meeting today>>> Thats true -Dell moving strongly out of the box. But where is the "WOW"? Analysts are not going to get that Wow stuff in a meeting.If Dell said they could beat by 3, the stock would zoom to 68, whispers would go to 20 cents and Dell would miss, and many nameless companies would enjoy that. IMO an attempt is made to keep the stock price from getting out of hand, decrease the volatility, and save some surprise for the earnings report. The quarter isnt done, Dell cannot say for sure what earnings will be. Earthquakes happen. The analysts will will take the credit if they happen to make the right call. I would trust D. Niles to do the best estimating on Dell. Sig
