James Lee Baldwin:

Re: "Computer and chip makers were up on NYSE as well. Compaq Computer Corp. (CPQ) gained 1.19 to 29.06, being the second most traded stock on the exchange. The rise is due to news that Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has
recently invested $1 billion in technology stocks - $400 million of which were in CPQ shares. Although not in the prince's portfolio, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) gained 3.25 to 71.62. Yesterday, AMD's shares rose more than 10% to a new 52-week high, after the company said it expects first-quarter sales to top $1 billion.

Comment: Once again 15% of AMD's shares have changed hands in the past 2 days...Just not enough shares to spread around it seems...Imagine the flurry if Dell jumps aboard (which imho is inevitable if they wish to compete adequately at the top-end of 850 MHz and above).
