$Mogul,

Thanks for the input. I don't need the write-off and I will stay away for a while. After all, if KREM is a good company to own now it should be a good company to own in a couple of quarters if the story doesn't change.

But I take umbrage with your borderline calumny regarding the company and it's IPO. After all, isn't the purpose of an IPO to "get the company some money?" Krispy Kreme is expanding in the U.S. If their expansion is profitable, wouldn't it be reasonable to study the profit potential of a Krispy Kreme next door to the McDonald's in Helsinki or the KFC in Tokyo? I hope ALL the companies I own have "delusions of grandeur of expanding all over the world," or at least "delusions" of marketing and selling their products all over the world. Who wants to own a company whose philosophy is, "Our earnings and assets are small, and we'd like to keep it that way?"

But we agree on one thing, when I spend my money on Krispy Kreme doughnuts I've spent it on something good.<G>

Regards,

CC
