Woops, there is more of my sarcasm. Generally sarcasm is ironical (intended meaning is directly opposite) - Obviously you did not pick up on that with my comment on daytraders. I happen to be a daytrader and know that they had nothing to do with the market sell-off and recovery the other day.

Are far as dips go - whether one buys/sells or does nothing is all relative to ones investment/trading style,technical time frames, trends or trading range, risk/reward,etc.......you know that, just don't think making a blatant statement that "Buying on dips is antiquated" is appropriate..IMO
