ff..I don't even remember the post. But I assume you are taking it out of context. I buy on the dips AFTER I sold the position not while I'm floundering in a dropping stock. I think posters understand my strategy by now. I know we are getting tons of posts and I'm really having little trouble catching up under the circumstances. That's pretty much because my strategy is 'rote' by now and I'm only looking at fundamentally strong stocks for the last few weeks. Some of you might notice that I have rarely put up a net stock in weeks. That is intentional. Buying on the dips is not so bad.. its only when your 'daytrade' turns into a 'position trade' and suddenly you find you have a 'long term hold' that buying on dips just shows a little panic. As long as it planned out from the outset its fine. I bought TLGD on a dip, I bought ELNT, FLSH, FLEX, BRKS and most of the biotechs on dips.. but I was not in them when I bought them.

As I said before when is a dip a dip and not a bloodbath! IF you know then by all means let us know. I'm just saying the term 'dip' is way too loose. Do you buy the dip when you have the stock at 140 it goes to 120 or 100 or is the dip as low as 80 or 70? Can you honestly hold that stock all the while it is falling and without emotion buy the dips going down. The truth is 'you' the collective you again, think that dip is the bottom and it doesn't turn out to be the bottom. My only problem with buying the dips is when does the dipping end and the upward trend begin once again?
