WorldGate Appoints James Agnello Chief Financial Officer
TREVOSE, Pa., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- WorldGate Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: WGAT - news) announced today the appointment of James V. Agnello as the company's Chief Financial Officer. Agnello joins WorldGate following a highly successful career at SmithKline Beecham Corporation, a Fortune 100 company, where he was Vice President and Controller of the laboratory division, a corporate officer and a member of the division's executive management team. He will report to Hal Krisbergh, Chairman and CEO of WorldGate.
Agnello has over 20 years of experience in all areas of financial management, and has a proven track record in directing the finance organizations of companies ranging in size from $40 million to $1.5 billion in revenue. At SmithKline Beecham he helped develop the long-range finance organization and systems strategy of the $13 billion parent company. He also was instrumental in leading the integration planning of two finance organizations as part of a $1.5 billion merger of two laboratory companies.

Agnello has been a CPA since 1979 and is a member of both state and federal professional societies, a former member of the Controllers Committee and the author of an article on managed care published in the Pennsylvania State Society Journal. He is also a member of the Foundation Board of St. Agnes Hospital and holds a graduate degree in accounting from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
