one domestic social issue that social conservatives have ever "won"? Slavery? Suffrage? Prohibition? Drug War? Creationist
'Science'? Prayer in School? Gun laws? Abortion? Racism? Sexism? Gay bashing? etc etc etc. Lost 'em all. Thank God.


With the exception of slavery and suffrage, I would say all the other issues are still in play, one way or another. Are you suggesting that alcohol and drugs don't adversely affect society? Nor have you heard the last of creationist science or prayer in school, especially if vouchers make any headway. Gun laws, Abortion, Racial quotas, feminist agendas and homosexual issues are far from settled and may not be anytime soon, thank some other God. The pendulum swings both ways.
