Combined Solution to Offer Sophisticated Behavior-Based Segmentation and Profiling Through the Use of Realtime Data Analytics

MINNEAPOLIS and DALLAS, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Net Perceptions, Inc. (Nasdaq: NETP) today announced that i2 Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ITWO) plans to license Net Perceptions' Knowledge Refinery for integration into i2's TradeMatrix? business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) marketing, commerce, fulfillment and customer care solutions. i2 will also resell Net Perceptions' Greenlight Retail Discovery Suite and its full line of realtime recommendation products for e-commerce, call centers and e-mail campaign management. Net Perceptions' analytical marketing products complement i2's TradeMatrix solutions, providing increased value to the joint customer base.

Net Perceptions' software solutions will provide behavioral-based market segmentation and profiling capabilities to TradeMatrix users. In addition to broadening i2's e-marketplace solution, Net Perceptions' products will be sub-licensed by i2's sales force - expanding Net Perceptions' reach and distribution in both the B2B and B2C markets.

The i2 and Net Perception solution is intended to allow businesses to leverage both inbound and outbound information across the entire customer-to-supplier relationship. This information includes a detailed knowledge of customer preferences seamlessly linked with a comprehensive view of multi-enterprise resources and objectives. The powerful combination is designed to assist businesses in recommending and promising the correct product to targeted customers, on time and at the best price.

In addition to the integration of Net Perceptions' Knowledge Refinery product, i2 will sub-license Net Perceptions' Retail Discovery Suite, Net Perceptions for Call Centers, Net Perception for Marketing Campaigns and Net Perceptions for E-commerce. These products will augment and strengthen i2's existing e-commerce and personalization capabilities.
