( BW)(PA-CTI-GROUP)(CTIG) CTIG Integrates With Lucent VOIP Products

Business Editors

VALLEY FORGE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 2000--CTI Group (Holdings) Inc. (OTC: CTIG) today announced that its UK subsidiary, CTI Data Solutions Limited, has integrated its Proteus Office solution with the Alchemy Series from Lucent Technologies to provide communications management applications for Lucent's integrated PBX and internet access platforms.
Lucent will market the Proteus Office communication management application as a value-added solution to its international network of over 350 distributors, which include BT (British Telecom) and Westcon.
The Alchemy Series combines voice and data communications within a single system, providing all the required PBX, LAN and data routing features for internet, public and private network connectivity. Its products are targeted at small to medium-sized businesses, supporting one to 180 users per office premises.
Proteus Office retrieves information about calls made to and from a PBX, and interprets it into a variety of essential, easy-to-read reports that help businesses reliably deliver a high quality, efficient telephone service to calls and extension users.
"The Alchemy products have revolutionized the way communications are carried out," said John Birbeck, Sales and Marketing Director for the Alchemy Series.
They provide:

-- A fully integrated internet data router;

-- A fully featured voice PBX that works "out-of-the-box;"

-- Intelligent features on standard, low-cost analog telephones;

-- A LAN connectivity system for the PC network; and

-- A suite of computer telephony software

"In other words, it is the complete office-communications-in-a-box for the small to medium-sized business," Birbeck said. "The addition of CTI's Proteus Office call management software to our solution offers important customer benefits and makes our package more attractive.
"All customers need to understand their communication costs. When using integrated voice and data products such as the Alchemy Series, this becomes even more important. We are looking forward to the added value it provides to our distributors."
Tony Johns, CTIG's Chairman and CEO, said, "The Alchemy Series is one of Europe's biggest success stories in recent years. Since its launch in 1997 by Network Alchemy, and then the acquisition of Network Alchemy by Lucent Technologies in 1999, it has amassed more than 8,500 customer installations and has established a distributor base that other companies can only admire.
"Our Proteus Office is targeted to the same market sector as the Alchemy Series and meets the need to provide their customers with vital information and analyses about their telecommunications usage. We have run trials of Proteus Office with some of the major Alchemy distributors and will formally market the solution in April, the first month of our new fiscal year."
Proteus Office is the UK's first user-installable MS Windows call management application. It is designed specifically for small, single-site offices requiring basic call management functionality at a fraction of the cost of traditional systems. Based on the latest 32-bit technology running under MS Windows 95, 98 and NT, Proteus Office is fast, accurate, easy to use and extremely reliable.
Adrian Burt, Managing Director of CTI Data Solutions Ltd., said, "The technical superiority of the Proteus Office solution lies not only in its ease of installation and use, but also in its integration with the Alchemy Series and utility software.
"Proteus automatically learns extension numbers and names, and so eliminates the need for users to configure the application before running reports. CTI is currently in negotiations with a number of other IP-based switch manufacturers to offer them a similarly tailored solution."
CTIG develops, markets, and supports telemanagement solutions for corporate users of telecommunications services and customer billing solutions.
