PremiumWear, Inc. Renews Licensing Agreement With Perry Ellis International, Inc.

MINNETONKA, Minn., April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- PremiumWear, Inc. (Nasdaq: WEAR) today announced that it has extended its licensing agreement with Perry Ellis International, Inc. for use of the Munsingwear(R) brand for woven shirts through 2006 with a renewal option through 2010.

"The Munsingwear(R) fashion line of imprintable apparel, while centering around the knit golf shirt, also includes sweaters, woven shirts and jackets that complement the knit shirt," commented Dave Berg, PremiumWear's President and Chief Executive Officer. "The renewal of our licensing agreement is, therefore, integral in continuing our strategy of offering an extensive branded apparel collection to wholesale apparel distributors, advertising specialty dealers and embroiderers in the promotional products industry."

In 1996, PremiumWear sold the Munsingwear(R) brand to Perry Ellis International, Inc., and then entered into a licensing agreement for use of the brand for knit shirts for twenty years and woven shirts for five years.
