Rafih, Freedom of Speech is granted to citizens of the North American democracies, just as it is is found in most countries that have governments built on Western European ideals. However free speech does not come without strings attached. One cannot make certain statements in certain contexts without being civily or criminally liable. You probably know the old outworn example of shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater.

Deliberately stated falsehoods in some cases can be classified as libel (if spoken) or slander (if written). The latter are deliberate oral or written statements or representations that convey an UNJUSTLY unfavorable impression with the intent of exposing a person or entity ...such as a corporation in this instance...to public contempt.

Robert could be correct in that he has not said anything that is "untrue," particularly since his words are stated in general terms without, for example, a time context. I'm thinking of the "Fortune 500" allegation in this instance. IMHO whether or not he is correct in this fact is really a moot point in this instance. I think what we are all reacting to is the INNUENDO conveyed by his "truthful" remarks. They're cleverly stated so that slander is not actually committed, although the spirit of slander guides the statements. He has crafted them carefully so that they remain beyond the pale of true legal slander.

The sad thing is that there is probably no Robert Miluga to pursue legally, when and if he does commit slander, since his name is no doubt an alias. I don't know what is stuck in his craw...maybe he's a shorter...but the only way we can control this guy is to squirt the ink from his poison pen back into his face.

I'm really proud of this forum, Khaled. The majority have answered with an emotional outpouring of moral indignation at Robert's transparent remarks. They perceive the underlying spirit of slander contained in his unnuendo. None of the responses has been orchestrated, so Robert should judge how he is perceived and appreciated by a collection of separate individuals on this forum that have no other goal than to see their company prosper. About all I can say, and it keeps coming back to those words he himself penned, is that this non-person should get a new life.
