CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 2000--MRV Communications Inc. (Nasdaq:MRVC) today announced the launch of Net2Linux, an online Linux Open Source for the open source community.

The community, www.net2linux.com, is freely available upon registration to all World Wide Web users. Net2Linux is being led by NBase-Xyplex, pioneers who developed the first Open system dedicated switch/router to use the Linux operating system.

Net2Linux's mission is to serve as the world center for the Linux/Open Source Networking environment and to provide breakthrough customer services for the enterprise Open Source Networking community.
