<<Any thoughts on Kidd's research?>> Yeah, I have a few comments: I think Kidd is like the proverbial blind man trying to identify an elephant by touch. It makes a big difference whether he's touching an ear, a leg or the tail. I've read all his surveys, including the latest one, and they're quite valuable; but their limited scope has to be taken into account. For example in today's note, he has no new report on some of the most important markets: Canada, China and Brazil. The ONLY market from which he was able to get Minute of Use or quantitative sales data was Italy. Well, practically everybody would agree that W. Europe in general and Italy in particular are not big markets for G*. The reports from the US distributors are somewhat mixed, but generally upbeat, if not quantitative. The inputs from Central America, Mexico, Australia and Russia seemed encouraging, to me, though how much impact these regions will have on Q1 financials is questionable. FWIW I'll put my own estimates up against Mr. Kidd's: WK RS Subs at end of Q1: 3-5K 20K MoU 788K 4500K Airtime Revs 370K 1700K
