Re: "Austin Athlon has very high yields at 1GHz. What speed do you think Dresden parts run at? In case you haven't noticed, recent AMD announcements have been very conservative, in contrast to the desperate propaganda coming out of Santa Clara."

Was this supposed to be a response to my post? Because it had noting to do with what I posted. You claim AMD has very high yields at 1 GHz. As you like to say, link please?

BTW, you are misusing the term yields. Yields are not frequency specific. You should say binsplits instead as that distinguishes between differing speeds. Anyway the number I saw for AMD binsplits at 1 GHz was not impressive at all. The source was not AMD but it was not a WAG either but based on privileged information, that's why I can't post it.

What do I think Dresden parts run at? I wouldn't hazard a guess but I will remind you that AMD has never shipped revenue material from Dresden and who knows when they will. The years go by and still no production. Yes that could change but so far it hasn't yet and your promises are wearing a little thin. In my book, anything less than 2 million units for Q1 is a real letdown, considering the hot market and Intel's continued constraints. Even at that Intel will manufacture an order of magnitude more CuMines than Athlons. I see a possible demand problem here for AMD if the numbers of Athlons come in low (<2 million). I'm holding my short positions expecting a pullback after earnings come out.
