absorb - It does not surprise me at all that Willie is involved in such dealings. He is an extremely powerful power broker with connections everywhere. He uses them to his benefit whenever possible. I can't say I would be too excited over some of his IPO choices though. If I were asking for IPO favors, there were several 100% pops to choose from. I read an article published last year about a specific company going public (don't recall the name) and Barbara Streisand called the CEO personally the day of the IPO asking for "friends and family" shares.

It pays to be powerful and influential.
