~The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain~
That is Isiah?...wow, what an inspired
and a fabulous vision , made very long before Messiah, isn't it?
What straining inward passion to unite with that which is great and vast within the breast of man and woman. The "land of milk and honey"...the "promise Land" and all that you would search for....is but the blessed realm within your own heart. Not a geographical "place" on earth, or location...but the regions of self and a nation unto your own true belief and faith in God, Messiah, and and joined by the "infinite spirit." This is your "Promised Land".
What an incredibly "inspired vision"...as only the older prophets could grasp and inspire.
~All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever~
~Upon leaves of grass, standing close to the Lord, surrounded in dark mysteries of a world of vanities and illusions of grandeur....I stand nearer to him within, ...and I sing the body electric ! ~
~Lovely is the rose, and the rainbow comes and goes, ...waters on a starry night ,are both beautiful and faire... Yet I know , where ever I go...there is a glory that has passed from the Earth...~ William Wordsworth (Ode to Immortality)
Splendor in the Grass...and Glory in the Flower? One "Glory" perhaps...in all things equally, all coming from God within...
That was Issiah?
Many thanks. i loved that post and passage...came across it once when very young. Loved it then and still do. What resounding words..spoken so very long....long ago. And they still ring like a trumpet when they you hear....
of very powerful the hidden meanings and visions of God, the true kindom within..... the height, width, depth, and the breast of creation, and limits of the world of our delusions...all waiting there, for those who have the eyes to see and the ears to hear...
...we all stand in a very fragile place, upon the leaves of grass until we find the path that leads to God, and follow our bliss....then doors will open , where there were none! Into the "promised Land" of our own experience of creation. Then , and only then we shall truly "join the feast", that something/someone so much far greater.... has set upon our table.
fabulous post!
Here's to the finding the "Promised Land" , and the "peace" that transcendeth all understanding.
One thing I know, is that I know not... Namaste,
:-)
