Darrell, rudedog, re: You point to a nice "white paper" which is, as you say, more than a year old. Unfortunately, although DELL had an embryonic program to develop SAN architecture prior to EMC's acquisition of DG.

The glass is half empty/full dispute is a point of view used by analyst to justify their next shift in favorites. What is clear to me is that from a Ford, etc massive B2B initiative point of view is that Dell runs its $40M/day web site on Dell servers. Dell also is running best of breed B2B business for years! This is a "glass is full" case that no one can seriously dispute and is a selling point that Dell is cashing in on.

In regards to SUNW and EMC, where is it written that if one own's Dell, other stocks are not to be owned? In relative value, SUNW and EMC look a little expensive to me, but that is personal preference. I also remember when CPQ and Dell stock were growing with indistinguishable favor; I picked Dell because of their "edge." Not very technical!! I still feel they have that. (It does not mean other companies are not good investments too).
Mike
PS Thanks for the discussion
