I.N., when shorts mount massive short attack, it usually done not for emotional reasons (hating a stock or a company) but after due diligence that often equal or surpasses that of the longs. CC certainly was not caught naked short on the rally from last November. The smaller shorts (like those that incessantly claimed VLNC to be a "stock Fraud") are another story, they are emotional and it is more important for them (like to many longs) to be "right" rather than make money. The fact is that the big longs did not step to the plate to buy at $26 or so as they did every single time before, while the shorts kept hammering the stock down. If the short are finished, fine, but if they know something (and that might be just counting the truck parked at the NI facility <VBG>)that we the public investors do not, we will find out in due time, probably within two to three weeks.
