Tom,

As far as "are we close to the time Mr. Market starts realistic pricing?" is a big unknown. This mania could go on for a long time or stop tomorrow.

As far as gold and silver. IMO, they are driven by commodity fundamentals where mines will continue to be taken off line until demand out strips supply, and companies can make a profit. We all understand that a lot of both metals are shorted and there will be some economic violence when it turns. BTW, I have started third positions in both metals.

I am retired and play bridge with a few groups. One of the groups is my fraternity sisters in the twin cities. A few months ago one gal who is working asked me for a name of a fund that is invested in the technology sector. She did not want to miss this great opportunity to retire early. I told her I would not recommend any fund that is gambling in over priced stocks. She said she didn't care if she lost all, she wanted the opportunity to retire early. I have a cousin with a similar attitude.

I do not know if this is the attitude of the average person on the street. Monday will tell us if the telephones were busy this weekend moving money to more conservative investments.

Joan
