CD, I still hold T.CDV (in 9.80). I got caught hoping it would go back up. Maybe I should take "Tuna's" advice and sell at the loss as it is real.

Trader, I am in the thread because of the help Dave has given me. I have been interested in the idea of trading but have always invested. I went to Dave for some initial help.

I stay in tune with other web sites, but find the insight and calm experienced insight on this thread to be extremely helpful to my lack of experience.

Dave, I just thought you would recognize me and I did not want to intrude as a newbie. I have hung on to your and Nicole's coat tails for some of my best trades. Thankyou!

This thread is a great place to hang and learn and acquire tips.

The skills I may not have yet "learned" but I think are most important that I learn are:

1. Preserve capital - when a stock goes south, sell. The reason does not matter. Take the loss if the movement is temporary and nothing has changed buy back in.

2. Do not be tempted to "just be in the game of trading". It is ok to be on the side line. Pick the trades carefully and make sure to not be into more trades than you can focus on.

3. Speed on execution of transactions is very desirable. Canada's law of requiring a "real person" to review each transaction sucks. It adds costs and slows execution. It is obvious where the lobbying force lies here.
