- 2 years ago PMTC went through a decline of a magnitude that is comparable to the present one. Perhaps it was due to over-exposure to the far east markets ? I remember the decline quite well. It wasn't so much "over-exposure" as that the business in Japan utterly dried up. - much of the decline is accounted for by "lack of communication". (to Goldman Sachs ? who else?) It was the entire analytical community, not only Goldman. Merrill and Morgan Stanley were caught flat footed as well. However, it doesn't seem to me that it was lack of communication with Wall Street that is the problem. It's a problem with managing deals like the Airbus one and closing them. I am not worried that the Airbus deal will not be signed; however, I am concerned that the current quarter will have the same scenario of salespeople working right to the last minute and not closing deals that should not drag on for so long.
