mr mark, I rebooted and as soon as DOS text was visible on
the screen I hit F8 and chose 2.bootlog.txt, then ENTER.
It booted normally and recorded the process in bootlog.txt

It definitely checked for a boot record on the CD first.
I remember from other computers that one can alter the
sequence of checking for a boot record in BIOS. So, on my PC it goes to the C drive if there is no boot record on the CD.
I could not tell if the A drive was checked, not even from
bootlog.txt
