rude; what is SUNW doing about addressing the 200 and fewer unit shops? there were complaints last year that SUNW wouldn't talk to such. i read that over 85% of the world's businesses fall into this lower category by numbers alone (relevative to volume revenue, however, the 15% makes up about 50% or more, though). Dell, apparently, hasn't had such a problem.

re Dell's "SAN" offering. Dell's sales staff will say they have a storage based offering; I doubt that it is, by definition, like EMC's or AS os independent. can't one still argue the issue of what is truly os "independent" relative to current fibre or bandwidth constraints?

even though Convergenet may be a better fit, have youreviewed what they are doing? they made some bold assertions.
