There has been a bear market in most bank stocks since the peak in '98. Some are down 40, 50, even as much as 60 percent. As a value investor, these stocks are approaching compelling valuation levels, for me. There are a HUGE amount stocks in these industry groups. So, if you believe as I do, they they are now worth a look, by all means let's hear some names.

It's has been a while since I looked over this sector. The early 90's, as a matter of fact, when you could buy CCI, CMB, CHL, etc. for 10 and 12 dollars. While many of those big banks no longer exist many of the smaller banks still do. I need to get up to speed on this sector but a few I'm interested in now are RIGS, HIB, NFB, and DME.
