It would be great if this could gain broad interest like that of the Drillers thread. A place where one could consolidate such discussions, and bring many different ideas forward for analysis is desirable. About a month ago, I entered this sector with two buys, WM and GPT. The sector is beaten down, and may have turned to the positive now. People still may be afraid to enter these stocks, as the outlook for interest rates is not certain. At the present time, I favor some of the regional banks and a few savings & loans. These include MI, ABCW, KRB, PHBK, BNKU, and SOTR. Does anyone know what are the historical P/E and P/B values for companies in this broad sector?
