Actually I just made all that up to be funny.

But there may be an answer for these:

Celine Dion and Martha Stewart, not to mention William Shatner.

Ms Dion is French Canadian. All French are certifiably insane.

It is alleged Ms Stewart had a lobotomy when she was a teenager.

Mr. Shatner was quite normal until he filmed an episode of the original Twilight Zone titled: Nightmare at 20,000 Feet. Shortly thereafter he became delusional, met Gene Roddenberry, and was cast as the unstoppable Kirk. From there Mr. Shatner unfortunately descended into a type of insufferable giddiness...

Mr. Shatner always keeps the window shade drawn whenever he flies nowadays and steadfastly refuses to be seated near the wings on any aircraft. He still believes Spock's ears are real, and he can often be heard muttering, "Beam me up, Scotty. For God's sake, beam -- me -- up!"
