Intel has published its road map and its chip sets fit the road map. If you want more confirmation than that call Intel IR.

The 810 and 815 are dead end architectures because they use the last generation core.

The 815 probably has a little longer life to it.

There is no generic reason to put high performance memory in a low performance machine.

These new chip sets fit the Intel road map perfectly.

I will stick with the Intel road map your suspicions and misgivings notwithstanding. It is understood that SDRAM is nearing its end of life. There will be a phase out of SDRAM over the next few years.
