Dan, There have recently been a few incidents of violent crime in Mountain View and Palo Alto. Property crimes are relatively rare, and I don't think that the violent crime rate is very high compared to other urban areas. East Palo Alto is one of the poorest areas in the Bay area, but even there homes cost over $200. Scumbria
