LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 4, 2000--In a recent interview with the newly launched eBusiness audio Webzine IT Radio Network, Pete Peterson, president and chief executive officer of NetSilicon Inc. (Nasdaq:NSIL), commented on embedded networking and the future of connectivity. NetSilicon Inc. is the leading provider of system-on-silicon connectivity solutions.

"The next stage of computing technology evolution is expanding the Internet to network enable all electronic devices," said Peterson. "The new devices are going to be digital copiers, digital voice or IP telephones, building controls, industrial controls, and medical equipment."

Peterson discusses the relative size of the market for Internet-enabled devices. "My view is that there are a thousand times more electronic devices than there are people, and with things happening much faster, we're going to see a very, very large market that's already happening underneath us," he stated.

Peterson also talks about growth of the connectivity market overseas, and about the long-term impact of this nascent technology. "My feeling is that this trend in computing is the most important and significant trend that's going to impact people's lives, and improve the quality of people's lives, in the next 5 to 10 years."

The entire interview can be heard on demand on The IT Radio Network (www.ITRadioNetwork.com).
