Hi all; Fujitsu DDR/SDRAM/RDRAM chip/DIMM/RIMM count.
FUJITSU
This ancient PDF file from Fujitsu says it all: Sales Team, The new fiscal year will bring some significant developments in our memory strategy. We will ship SDRAM PC133 in volume and build on the foundations already laid for DDR SDRAM; for example, the 128M and 256M devices will be launched. We will begin to ship production volumes of DDR SDRAM to customers in the high-end Computing segment, the Networking segment, as well as those in the Multimedia and Graphics segments. The FCRAM (Fast Cycle RAM) will also begin shipping, and given the high level of interest from customers with a need for this low latency DRAM, I suspect this will be one of our most significant product launches for quite some time! fujitsumicro.com
Anyone doubting that the x32s are primarily for graphics purposes, (and were therefore the first to hit the market,) can read this app note from Fujitsu: fujitsumicro.com
Anyway, Fujitsu shows two, x32 DDR SDRAM devices, which, in addition to the usual DDR SDRAM functions, also do FCRAM: (1.1M) fujitsumicro.com (1.3M) 133.164.254.164 (small) fujitsumicro.com
By the way, I hate downloading data sheets from Fujitsu, they are hard to find sometimes, so I prefer some of the other guys. IBM is a favorite, for example, but they are exiting the memory business, except for embedded.
