Hi all; Hyundai DDR/SDRAM/RDRAM chip/DIMM/RIMM count.

HYUNDAI
Hyundai doesn't like to give out part numbers for things that you can't buy from them, and they now have DDR in mass production:
4Mx16 DDR SDRAM is under masss production, being ahead of other DDR

Funny thing, the Nvidia cards take x32 DDRs, what would you want with x16 DDRs? They aren't going into graphics chips, they're too tall for that purpose (2Mx32s are what Nvidia uses, the 4Mx16 parts are four times taller), instead they're slated for low granularity main memory, my friend, and they are in mass production.

DDR DRAM 21 parts available:
Four organizations of 64Mbit chips, and 3 of 128Mbit, all available now in three speed grades each:

The thing to note in the above link is that none of the 128Mbit parts are coming out in x32 mode. Instead, they are coming out in widths as small as x4. Design engineers know what that means, even if mom and pop are clueless - these parts are getting put into main system memory. The 128Mbit parts will minimally populate DIMMs of size 64MB, 128MB, and 256MB. The maximum sizes will be 512MB and 1024MB. So much for the great granularity of RDRAM, DDR will provide nearly as good, but for a much, much, much lower price, and higher performance.

RDRAM 7 parts available:
(One type of 72Mbit, funny, they don't have any 64Mbit parts available... Wonder why that would be, given that these are supposed to be going into low end consumer crap. Maybe its the unreliability of that Rambus interface, certainly these parts are not being directed at expensive servers. I still, by the way, haven't found a link to the article this past summer that said that the solution to the Camino problem was ECC and 2 RIMMs only, but I'm still looking, I found thread links to comments about it.)
Two types of 128Mb/144Mbit, in three speeds each.
