DESPINASSY PROJECT REVIEW
In 1999 Cameco completed 3 diamond drilling programs totalling 6,155 metres in 23 holes. These programs resulted in the discovery of three significant gold intercepts in hole DES99-17 and gold intercepts in DES99-20 and DES99-21 both to the east of hole DES99-17.

Cameco also completed another 100 kilometres of line cutting and ground magnetometer surveying as well as 50 kilometres of Induced Polarization surveying.

In 2000, the 70% Cameco and 30% Major General Joint Venture was formed. Initially 2100 metres were drilled in five holes. Subsequently another 2900 metres were drilled and the program was expanded by an additional 3000 metres. Two drills are now drilling. The objective is to complete approximately 20 holes in 2000 before operations have to be suspended in April for break-up. Additionally 20 kilometres of line cutting and 10 kilometres of IP surveying have been completed. As a result of the enlarged drilling program core splitting, logging, assaying and interpretation of the results are behind schedule.

The Joint Venture property was expanded in 1999 to consist of claims covering 4728 hectares. The gold rich deformation zone now has a strike length of over 4.7 kilometres and attains widths up to 200 metres.
