So you think that cell phones will be cheap PCs? What about PDAs? Even if set top boxes, tablet-style PCs, and others are all based upon cheap PC technology, most of them will *not* be running a Windows-based OS or IE.

Yes, cell phones will eventually be cheap PCs. Have you ever noticed the from factor of the Motorola Star Tac? Now add that to the Cassiopeia and you know have a self-contained, always on, fully capable net device. Add a keyboard like the Psion Revo! Which is the richest OS to add computation functionality to this stuff? Which is the most often used in computing? All MSFT needs to do is to reduce margins on its CE OS and move into the new from factor. This is all new revenue for MSFT. Which would the average consumer prefer, AOL ewverywhere or Win 98, always on Internet style, connected through an 8 ounce computer.

Even if set top boxes, tablet-style PCs, and others are all based upon cheap PC technology, most of them will *not* be running a Windows-based OS or IE. Browsers based upon Mozilla, Opera, Spyglass, and others will dominate here. AOL will be pushing Mozilla everywhere and you can't ignore them. Intel and Nokia are also pushing Mozilla.

I remember you saying that three years ago and look at where we are at now:-)
